Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau
The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) is a sales and marketing organization. Its mission is to attract, encourage and induce all persons and organizations to visit Greater Miami and its Beaches for conventions, business and pleasure. Acting on behalf of its members, its inter-local partners and the citizens of Miami-Dade County, the GMCVB markets and promotes all segments of the community as a preferred destination. In furtherance of this mission, the GMCVB will support and encourage actions and programs that enhance the desirability and attractiveness of Greater Miami and its Beaches for its visitors.
Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce is the City of Miami Beach’s oldest, largest and strongest business and civic organization. Boasting more than 2,000 members and growing by the day, the Miami Beach Chamber is poised to continue its mission of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural, educational, health, and civic welfare of the Greater Miami Beach Area.
Global Spectrum (global-spectrum.com) manages the Miami Beach Convention Center, as well as more than 100 other public assembly facilities around the world. Nearly 20-million people attended more than 11,000 events in Global Spectrum venues last year. Based in Philadelphia, PA, Global Spectrum is part of Comcast-Spectacor, one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment companies. Comcast-Spectacor also owns the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, New Era Tickets, a full-service ticketing and marketing product for public assembly facilities, Paciolan, the leading provider of venue establishment ticketing, fundraising and marketing technology solutions, Front Row Marketing Services, a commercial rights sales company, and Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community ice skating rinks.
Front Row Marketing Services
Front Row Marketing Services, a division of public assembly facility management firm Global Spectrum, and part of one of the world’s largest sports and entertainment firms, Comcast-Spectacor, was formed in 1998 by highly-respected sports marketing expert Mr. Richard Sherwood. Front Row Marketing Services provides municipalities, sports and entertainment clients and facilities with a number of services, including sponsorship evaluation analysis, venue advertising, sales and marketing of premium seating and facility naming rights. Front Row also works with corporations to develop effective sports and entertainment marketing, sponsorship and advertising strategies.
Comcast-Spectacor is the principal owner of Global Spectrum and Front Row Marketing Services. They are owners of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association, the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, Flyers Skate Zone, a series of community ice skating rinks, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, a regional sports programming network and 3601 Creative Group, a full-service in-house advertising agency. In a partnership with Disson Skating, Comcast-Spectacor annually produces 10 nationally televised figure skating spectaculars on NBC.
Based on the close links between MCH Group and the City of Miami Beach as well as GMCVB (Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau) MCH Group and Global Spectrum entered a strategic marketing alliance to develop Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) as an international destination. Since September 2008 Global Spectrum operates the Miami Beach Convention Center on behalf of the Miami Beach City Commission.
MCH Group runs the MBCC European Sales Office in Basel including the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) in its European sales and development programs.
