MIAMI BEACH CONVENTION CENTER WELCOMES MICAH ALLEN NEW DIRECTOR OF SALES

MIAMI BEACH, FL – (January 6, 2020) The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC, a Spectra-managed venue) is proud to welcome Micah Allen as the new Director of Sales to the re-imagined, renovated and expanded venue.

 Ms. Allen is an experienced and successful sales leader, driven by passion and the desire for excellence. Ms. Allen takes pride in providing the best sales results possible, and as the new Director of Sales at the Miami Beach Convention Center, her goals are to develop strong relationships with internal and external customers while attracting new business to the Miami Beach Convention Center.

 “I am thrilled by the opportunity to cultivate a pool of new technology, medical and corporate events to take place at the MBCC,” said Ms. Allen. “Following the $620-million expansion and renovation of the MBCC, the venue is poised to generate new, exciting business that will positively impact the destination.” 

 In addition to her primary job functions, Micah has been recognized in the industry for her extraordinary commitment to the sales process. She has held leadership roles with several hotels and venues throughout her career, most notably at the JW Marriott Hotel New Orleans and the Jackson Convention Complex.

 Micah has lived in several parts of the country as a “military brat” but calls New Orleans home.  She calls herself a foodie and is looking forward to the unique culinary experience of Miami Beach.  Micah enjoys physical fitness, time with family, friends and travels whenever possible.

 The Director of Sales is responsible for ensuring the highest quality and standards for revenue and economic impact goals to be met for the MBCC, while working collaboratively with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and Centerplate. The Director of Sales is responsible for providing management to the MBCC short-term sales team while maximizing targeted booking opportunities within the short-term 18-month timeframe, assisting in servicing, negotiating and contracting MBCC clients.
