At the newly re-imagined Miami Beach Convention Center our exclusive service provider, Smart City Networks, offers cutting-edge technological solutions and robust opportunities for show management to ensure event success. Our technology infrastructure uses “meshed topology” which is a type of physical networking plan where all devices that are a source of information cooperate to distribute data efficiently.

The MBCC has ensured that our building has outage prevention and solutions in place throughout the venue. Access is everything for technology services in a convention center, and at the MBCC there are data jacks, floor pockets and wall boxes located throughout the entire facility to ensure data transfer capabilities.

WiFi and Internet

MBCC and our telecommunication partners Smart City Networks have collaborated with major cell phone providers (including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon and more) to accommodate excellent cell-phone coverage throughout the building. The MBCC is equipped to handle up to 64,000 simultaneous devices using the network, and Smart City Networks can always add more to accommodate any event needs.

Audio Visual

Here at the MBCC our preferred A/V provider is Everlast Productions, a full-service event production company and leading supplier specializing in audio, video, lighting, staging, rigging, scenic design & creation and more. Our recently renovated AV system consists of a state-of-the-art Biamp Tesira-based AV networking / distribution system.  The installation consists of Biamp Tesira servers, routed via an array of Extreme Networks managed ethernet switches to telecom rooms throughout the building to a total of 56 Biamp/Lab-gruppen digital amplifiers to power the Electrovoice and Bose speakers throughout the center. This installation is the largest Biamp Tesira installation in the world!
