February 12, 2019 - The City of Miami Beach has earned the prestigious Gold Award in the “Best Honeymoon Destination, U.S. & Canada” category in the 2019 edition of the Travvy Awards produced by travAllianceMedia. The award recognizes Miami Beach and its communities for embracing diversity, offering dozens of opportunities for all couples to have a spectacular wedding.

The Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority was also honored and recognized by the industry with a Silver award for “Best Tourism Board, United States & Canada.”

The annual Travvy Awards—known as the Academy Awards of the travel industry—were held January 23, 2019 at Gotham Hall in New York City. The Travvy Awards recognize the highest standards of excellence in the travel industry by honoring travel companies, travel products, travel agencies, and destinations for their outstanding achievements.  

Suppliers, destinations and individuals from across the world of travel are eligible to submit their nominations to be considered annually for the honor of being recognized as an innovator in the industry. This year, over 100,000 votes—the largest voting block of agents in history—were cast to determine the 2019 Travvy Awards winners.
